I ahve the Fire Drake kit. I measured in 1 inch from the side to know where to start. I have now finished the first row--to within 1 inch on the other side. However, that row is now 31 and a half inches long. The rug is only supposed to be 30 inches. Do I remove some of the knots so the row is only 30 inches?

There's another method of doing the hooking. I prefer the other method for the size of my hands. Both work though!!

These kits seem alot nicer. Maybe ne always came with bundles and patterns that had colors but hard to distinguish which color is which on pattern with similar shades.

I'm an artist and "any" acrylic paint is *NOT good for a baby skin* I repeat ... *NOT GOOD* on baby's skin I would research more on the types of safe paint to use for your baby.
